Say what changed, and what decision is waiting on it.

Two or three sentences is plenty. You'll get a reply within one working day telling you which report fits, roughly what it costs, or that none of them is right for what you're asking.

Before you write

  1. The trigger is more useful than the brief

What happened that made this worth asking about — a competitor's launch, a metric that moved, a question you couldn't answer — tells us more than a tidy specification does.

  2. Name the decision, not the deliverable

"We're deciding whether to enter Germany" is workable. "We need a competitor analysis" needs a conversation first, and we'll have it.

  3. Some enquiries get turned down

Surveys and consumer panels, marketplace-only sellers, enterprise B2B software, and anything where we hold a conflict. You'll get a straight answer rather than a proposal.
